The National Employers’ Skills Survey (CYEmployers) aims to identify, measure, and monitor the different types of skills mismatches that exist in the labor market, as well as predict labor market needs for skills and qualifications. The ultimate goal is to design appropriate policies and to develop reskilling and upskilling programs for dealing with identified skill mismatches.
For this purpose, the National Employers’ Skills Survey will collect data (through an online questionnaire) from employers in the Private, Public and wider Public Sector and from all sectors of the Cypriot economy on the current and future needs of the labour market in terms of skills.
The methodology of the survey and the questionnaire is designed in collaboration with the University of Warwick and, specifically, the Institute for Employment Research.
A total of three data collection cycles (2022-2026) will take place in the context of the project ” Development of a National Graduate Tracking Mechanism and Design and Implementation of an Employers’ Skills Survey”.
The first data collection cycle took place in April-December 2024.
The second cycle of the Eurograduate survey (2026) is expected to be held in 2026 with the participation of approximately 80% of European countries.
