Aiming to improve the interconnection of Higher Education in Cyprus with the labour market, the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, Sport, and Youth, in collaboration with PwC Cyprus, is organizing the conference entitled “Connecting Higher Education with Labour Market: Building the Future-Ready Workforce”.
This conference is taking place in the context of the project of the Department of Higher Education in the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan entitled “Development of a National Graduate Tracking Mechanism and Design and Implementation of an Employers’ Skills Survey”. The project was designed to respond to recommendations made in the context of several European policy reports regarding the existence of skills mismatches between the Cyprus education system and the labour market.
The conference aims to present:
- the two national surveys, National Graduate Tracking Survey and National Employer Skills Survey, conducted in the context of the project in the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan, and
- good practices from other countries in relation to the use of results from relevant surveys for decision-making and policy making with the aim of linking Higher Education with the labour market.
The conference will take place on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10, 2024.

The Conference is addressed to policymakers by the public and semi-governmental sector as well as to employers’ representatives and will take place at PwC Cyprus headquarters (43 Demosthenes Severis, 1080 Nicosia). - on Friday 10 May 2024 (in person by invitation only and online)
The Conference is addressed to representatives of Higher Education Institutions and will take place at the headquarters of PwC Cyprus (43 Dimostheni Severi, 1080 Nicosia). Online participation at the conference by all interested parties will also be available.
It is noted that the language of the conference is English.
